Discs can be burned directly through Mac OS X, but Toast provides added control over the process as well as extra features such as file recovery for damaged discs and cataloging and tracking of burned disc contents.
Toast 9 is a Universal Binary application and requires a PowerPC G4, PowerPC G5, Intel Core-based or newer Macintosh running Mac OS X v10.4 or later.
On 2009 January 5, at MacWorld Expo, Roxio announced the release of Toast 10.

Instructions:
i. Extract files with Stuffit or UnRarx.
ii. Open the extracted .dmg file.
iii. Follow installation instructions. (Serial included)
